June Round-Up: News, Free Reports & Great Results

The first half of 2022 has been an eventful one at least. To give you an idea of what we’ve been up to, we’ve had 9 new starters, our PPC team went to Barcelona to celebrate being one of the best in Europe, and we’ve welcomed lots of new clients including the property management group Native Group, and The A World, a not-for-profit helping and supporting the autistic community. We’ve also continued to achieve fantastic results and grow our existing client’s businesses across multiple industries.

As we move into the second half of 2022, we’re celebrating June being one of the best months in Embryo’s history. So here’s everything we’ve been up to.

New Starters

As we mentioned, we’ve grown the Embryo team by 23% this year and our latest recruit is Chelsea who joined our award-winning PPC team. Having previously worked as a Digital Lead Generation Specialist, Chelsea brings experience in creating campaigns that drive leads and achieve objectives for a wide range of businesses.

New Clients

As we mentioned, June was a great month for the business and part of that is down to the new client partnerships we formed looking for help with their digital marketing. In the month five new clients came on board, including OTTY Sleep, MyShifts, Access Creative and Carpet Superstore who have chosen Embryo to manage their paid advertising campaigns.

We also started working on our comprehensive and data-driven SEO strategy for HSS Hire Group, a leading supplier of tools and equipment hire in the United Kingdom.

Preparing for YoY Tracking

June was busy for our Head of Organic Strategy Sam, who has been working on finalising our client migrations to Google Analytics 4 (GA4). The 1st of July this year marked the deadline for companies to migrate to the new platform in order to ensure they could report Year on Year when the official launch of GA4 occurs in July 2023. Now that the deadline has arrived, we’re working on training our clients on using the new platform and still carrying out GA4 migrations for those who haven’t moved yet. Here’s more information about GA4, and how to get in touch with our team, who’d be more than happy to answer any of your questions.

Socially the Best

Our social team has been shortlisted as one of the best teams in the UK social media awards. We’re really looking forward to the awards ceremony in September, and with the amazing results they’ve been achieving recently we’re pretty confident.

Never Mind The Keywords

We’re sure you know by now that this year we launched our podcast Never Mind The Keywords, featuring guests from the Manchester community, to discuss careers, digital, news and other important topics for young professionals. In June we shared two new episodes.

Motivational speaker and twice published author Jack Nolan was our guest for the first episode. In the episode, you can hear about Jack’s views on mental health and fascinating stories about his journey from being held at knifepoint as a teenager and being sectioned twice, to having a book in Waterstones. Listen to the full episode on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

The second episode featured Amy Wild, the soon-to-be-former CCO at Northcoders. In the episode, Amy shares her insights into why coding can be such a freeing and lucrative career, and how Northcoders are helping to break down the race and gender barriers that have made this sector so white and male. If you’re interested in learning more about a career in coding you can listen to Amy’s episode on Spotify here and on Apple Podcasts here.

The Power of a Pin – Free Report

Pinterest is a huge social platform that many businesses are still not taking advantage of. This is why we created our free report ‘The Power of a Pin’ to share more insights and information about the platform, in order for more brands to incorporate it into their social strategies.

Fundraising for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital

This year Embryo has partnered with the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity to raise awareness and funds to help the important and amazing work they’ve done. So far this year we’ve raised over £2,900 through various physical challenges, including a bungee jump and the Manchester 10k. Unfortunately, the challenge of Abseiling down one of the tallest buildings in Manchester had to be postponed thanks to the weather but we’ll let you know when it’s rearranged.

Like what you read? Here’s how you can be a part of itAs we move into Q3 we continue to grow the Embryo team, and in June we shared six new roles we’re looking to hire for. The roles include:

  • Senior PPC Account Manager
  • Content Writer
  • Senior Client Services Account Manager

  • SEO Account Manager
  • Project Manager

Please note, that all candidates applying for any of the roles should have a minimum of 2 years of experience (for some roles this is more). Full job descriptions and how to apply can be found on our careers page.
