Google – Year in Search 2020…

2020 a year in search

As the year is coming to a close, Google has released their ‘Year in Search 2020’ and you can see all the findings here.

Every year, it’s fun to be retrospective and look back on the year’s highlights, and what better way to do this than to see exactly what we all typed into Google? This is interesting for everyone, not just those that may work in SEO and digital marketing.

In the report, Google stated that 2020 is the year we asked ‘why?’ with people asking ‘why?’ more than ever before online.

Records were also broken for the number of times we searched for what day it was – which is partly interesting and partly worrying, too.

But, as you can imagine, coronavirus was the topic at the forefront of everyone’s minds, and in this report, we can see how people searched during their time of adaptation.

As well as the aforementioned way to take a look at the findings yourself, you can also see the report on the infamous ‘stories’ format here.
